Tattoo Supplies
Tattoos were, at one point, strictly the domain of drunken sailors and indigenous "savages" from far away, exotic locales. However, in recent decades the art of tattooing has become an acceptable, relatively mainstream method of body ornamentation. Tattoo parlors can be found in nearly every city, and every country in the world.
For the modern tattoo artist, quality tattoo supplies are essential. Without the proper ink, needles, medical and sterilization equipment a tattoo parlor doesn't stand much of a chance of survival. Many cities require that these parlors also maintain an environment akin to a hospital when it comes to cleanliness.
The tattoo machine is often referred to as a tattoo artist's "shootin' iron". They are by far the most essential item on any list of tattoo supplies. The tattoo gun uses multiple needles to inject the ink into the skin, which is how tattoos are created. Traditional techniques, before the invention of the tattoo machine, were much more invasive than they are today. Some cultures would rub ink or other coloring agents into carvings made in the skin, while others would use inject the ink using sharpened sticks or animal bone.
Ink is another important part of tattoo supplies. Many traditionally applied tattoos are limited in color to just a few pigments. However, most reputable modern tattoo parlors will have a rainbow of colors from which to choose. Many of today's top tattoo artists are renowned for their brilliantly colored body art. Tattoo magazines are filled with examples of bright, colorfully decorated arms, legs and torsos.
Any list of tattoo supplies is incomplete without the inclusion of a range of different types of needles. A tattoo needle is actually a configuration of several needles, with different configurations being used for different purposes. "Rounds" refer to a specific configuration in which the needles are combined in a circular pattern. Tight circles are most often used for drawing lines, while looser circles are used for shading. "Flats" are assemblies in which the needles are put together side by side. They are most commonly used for shading, but can also be used for writing in a calligraphy style.

Tattoos Girl
By Chess McDoogle
Getting a feminine tattoo shouldn't limit your design ideas. There are many tattoos that work great for women, though they may seem traditionally better suited as male designs. Now days the design selection has grown, and the quality art work has improved greatly as well. This provides girls with a whole new selection of great ink to choose from.
Here are some great girl tattoo ideas:
1. Butterfly
Butterfly tattoo art can be very bold and beautiful. The colors can really pop out, and butterflies can be beautiful feminine artwork for the skin.
2. Flower
Flower tats don't have to be simple rose designs. There are many different options with flowers.. My favorite is including numerous, colorful flowers into one design.
3. Star
Stars are great for both women and men. They symbolize strength and direction, and you have many options such as the classic nautical star, or more modern star designs. Some options for girl tattoo ideas are a variety of smaller star tats, grouped together, in different colors. Perhaps each one could represent something or someone in your life.
4. Dragon
Yes, dragons can be extremely feminine and they make for great girl tattoo ideas! Some of the sexiest ink out there are dragon tats on females. They represent strength and power, and have a mystical nature about them as well.
5. Tribal
Tribal designs can work great as a girl tat. There are tribal designs that are more feminine and even some that incorporate flowers into the tribal design. You can also get a tribal design to surround an existing tattoo or incorporate it in another design altogether.

By Chris Ryerson
There are so many great tattoo designs for girls these days it is really amazing. In fact there are so many great looking tattoo designs for girls these days that it can be hard to narrow down the choices and find something that works for you. Two of the most currently popular trends for tattoo designs for women are tattoos for foot and sleeve tattoo designs. If you are looking for a tattoo design for either of these super sexy locations here are some great ideas.
Tattoos For Foot
Of course the foot is a small area or canvas to work from so if you are truly considering getting a foot tattoo you should try and find a design that can be small and not too intricate. If the design is too intricate it will late fade and blur.
Star Foot Tattoo - One of the most popular options these days are the star foot tattoo. The stars have always fascinated people and human throughout our short time here on earth. There are so many mysteries behind stars that they can make a great and highly symbolic tattoo.
Flower Foot Tattoo - Anther great option is to get a flower foot tattoo design hat you like. There are so many different possibilities with a flower tattoo design. One should start by deciding what is important in their life that holds meaning and significance for them. Then they can locate a great looking flower that symbolizes those things.
Sleeve Tattoo Designs
Sleeve tattoo designs can be done as a full sleeve going from wrist to shoulder. A half sleeve ranging from elbow to should and a quarter sleeve tattoo which is typically just done around the shoulder and upper part of the arm. More and more women are choosing to get sleeve tattoos or what is called getting sleeved. Here are some of the more popular ideas and tattoo design styles for feminine sleeve tattoo design.
Koi Fish Sleeve Design - The koi fish is obviously a very traditional and Japanese tattoo design that used to be done very large in full body tattoo suits worn by the Yakuza. However, today many women are getting this traditional tattoo with the beautiful new colored inks available these days.
Floral Sleeve Designs - Another popular option for women is a floral tattoo. This could be anything from a gothic looking vampire flower or a lotus flower symbolizing a journey and transformation typically religious but these days just a great classic tattoo design.
